The best choice is the car park at the rental car parking area
One of the nearby parking companies, such as Qwik Park, US Park, and Park and Go. Which all have transpiration vans.
2 hours prior to flight. TSA can be a nightmare
Yes cell lot off eureka is my favorite
I usually show up to the airport 3 hours before. It also depends on what time your flight is. If it's in the afternoon show up 5 hours early . But if your flight is early in the morning at least 3-4 hours
Absolutely, it is. Delta's gates are all located on one long concourse with an overhead monorail that travels nearly the entire length.
Nope, you have to smoke outside.
The restaurants are mostly in departures, but there are vending machines and a few small stores in arrivals where you can get food.
Shuttle available from ground floor
The issue is because you were arriving. First class/Delta One international passengers only get lounge access upon departure, not arrival.
Delicious still fresh
Well, it is nice to have fresh food in the airport, but the prices are outrageous! I do get it’s in an airport but the cost for one piece of fruit was absurd.
This was a surprisingly well stocked convenient store with bar. The selection of food and drinks was good, and the staff was friendly. The prices were a bit high, though. The baked goods looked good too. The meat on the sandwiches at the counter looked a bit dried out though. I chose a wrapped sandwich instead.
Good selection of beers and the lady behind the counter was very helpful. But the prices for the food are outrageous. You do not get you're money's worth. Although, I guess you can't really expect much from an airport restaurant. Would go again for the beers and the service.
Good place to stop and shop before boarding your plane
Best place to grab healthy and delicious foods for a flight. Love that they use Niman Ranch and Bell & Evans products. Great, sustainable choices.
Very impressive selection of food here. Made to order breakfast sandwiches and burritos. Coffee bar. Full alcohol bar. Lots of different choices for drinks and snacks. Lots of different pastries. I wish there were more places like this in airports. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for an airport. They don't start serving the breakfast sandwiches until 6.
You can eat HEALTHY at airport!!! All salad are prepacked and they don’t sell smaller portion. But that makes the line move much quicker.
Great service.
Love this! So glad it has the zingermans area, bought those awesome candy bars they make here, plus a sandwich. Skip the macaroni salad. Sandwich was great though.
Love this place and come here every time through DTW. Only problem is no recycling. So much plastic waste and compostable trays going in the trash. Forward thinking health food but needs a few more steps to be truly revolutionary. There has to be a better way!
A huge, overpriced disappointment. The food “looked” good behind the glass and I was even excited they had Brussels sprouts. Alas, the veggies were hard rubber and plastic. There was a hint of flavor in the chicken but nope! The rubber experience was back. Be careful with the Brussels sprouts and carrots, they were so hard I almost broke my teeth (undercooked and whoever made them didn’t even bother to cut the stalks) BTW, the star is for the nice lady at the check out. I think her name was Mya.
This place is great! Get a gift for ya mother!! The gem of the Delta terminal, I stop in almost every time I fly. Primo AM Bloody Mary spot and good beer selection at the bar. Very good prepared foods and salads. Excellent selection of Zingerman's coffee, snacks, pastries etc. (If only they had a full deli menu...)
Absolutely disgusting food! My wife ordered a bagel with cream cheese and it had gone bad. (I tasted it and it was unexpectedly sickly sour.) We informed the staff and they said a sour taste was expected. The other food was not fresh. I'm never going back here.
This food is one step above being overpriced! Close to $20 for a bottle of water, chips and a small (thing standard bread loaf) sandwich. The sandwhich was dry and unseasoned and the staff was pretty offputting as well. I tried to speak and was pretty much but ignored. Please save your money!
Very expensive. Ordered the Brussel sprout dish to stay with a vegi routine. Not cooked enough and very poor (spicy) seasoning. Perhaps horseradish. Anyway tossed it. Stay away. On to the flight.
I used to love this place - even though it's pretty expensive - but it's gone terribly downhill. My salmon was okay, but the broccoli was dry and unseasoned, the Brussels sprouts weren't well trimmed at the end, leaving them woody and difficult to eat, and the sweet potatoes were pretty much raw. Warm from the lamps, maybe, but certainly not "roasted." It'll be awhile before I stop here again.
I got this Italian Sausage & Orzo Pasta Salad at the Plum Market in DTW airport before my flight. I wish I open it and try it first, and let you guys smell it too, because it smells very sour obviously it has turned bad before the expired date you expected, not a fresh salad at all! I couldn’t even take one bite.So I emailed them the same night right away, no response; I text them the same message second day, no response; I called them & left a voice message, still no response for my full refund demand for this expired food!I don’t know how are they gonna do business like this but for sure to stay away from this place in the future!
Horrible and expensive, a total rip-off. I was charged $23 for a dried out chicken breast that must've been sitting on heat all day, and a small amount of green beans. I liked the selection of the market, but was shocked at how high they are pricing everything. Airports need not gouge the consumer so hard. If anyone cares or is listening.
$11 for five pieces of turkey between two dried out sponges. They should source their bread from Subway, it would be an upgrade.
I almost never write a review, especially a negative one but the Bacon, Egg and Cheddar sandwich was terrible. Bread tasted stale and it taste bland. Not worth the premium cost. Only redeeming quality is their staff is very polite and friendly.
Not the same atmosphere as Ann Arbor but worth a stop. Corned Beef Sammy is outstanding. The "skinny" version is a bit pricey at $12.75 but enough for most. Moist meat, hand cut rye has a crunchy crust. Also a decent selection of Michigan beers at the bar.
The bartender was very nice, prompt and helpful.
Used to be by far the best food in the airport. But... apparently they no longer care enough to season the food or to put sauce on it or to cook it to the right temperature. Missed opportunity to be great. Instead they have settled for not good enough. Too bad. Somewhere in the past someone envisioned a great concept. Then mediocrity took hold. DTW should demand better from it's best.
Salt Alert... I had this Tomato Caprese Sandwich and asked to heat it.. It was not hot at the temperature required and was cold on one side (not sure how did they heat it) and there was a lot of salt in the sandwichP S: it was sometime before closing
They brought back the Kombucha! This market is posh, chill, and has a great selection. I enjoy craft coffee from Zingerman's, with Pour over or French Press. I enjoy the Kombucha selection, and it will definitely have me coming back. Also, the craft beer, wine and champagne is nice, with beer flights available. Finally, the fresh salads over in the bistro section are great!
I had a vegan protein salad here a few years ago and it was missing about half of the ingredients on the posted list. Recently a friend recommended Plum so I decided to try it again. Again, vegan protein salad, again missing four out of nine advertised ingredients - no brown rice or cilantro, and if there was lime juice or garlic dressing, I couldn’t taste it.Food sounds great but it’s fake news!
I’m giving this 5 stars simply because it’s a fantastic assortment of natural and organic foods. Includes a made to order sandwich bar, a big selection of fresh juices, kombucha, salads, and more! I especially loved the chipotle turkey sandwich. Also the service staff have a great customer-oriented attitude and are super friendly. This will become my go-to spot for DTW terminal shopping.
Nice place to grab a healthy snack as far as airport food goes not bad price as far as airport food goes
Its great Just bring the checkbook. Staff is Hit or Miss
Delicious food, Mac and cheese was 10/10 and the veggies were really good too. Chicken was dry but oh well. This was $20 with tax and all. This is the chicken entre with 2 sides.
We needed a quick bite on our layover. This could not have been easier or tastier. I got the chicken cuban and it was delicious. The kale salad is delicious. Everything looked fresh, healthy, and delicious. The staff was super helpful and gave us a laugh. My friend got the sante fe premade wrap and she was not a fan. So I would just stick with what is offered behind the glass with the employees. They let us sample to figure out which we liked. If I come through here again I am coming back.
So disappointed I always get my food from there, but never again the bartender was horrible( blonde lady ) I asked her a simple question she answered me in a very bad way Plus she went a mad fun of my request with here manager very poor customer service I will never go back do not recommend it 😢😢
This is a value rating. I had the salmon salad that comes in the small container! It was 90% veggies an 10% salmon. In total it was about 2.5 oz. There was maybe 1.5 teaspoons worth of salmon. Not worth the $40+/lb.. price. Even for airport prices this was a ripoff!!!
Phenomenal selection of snacks, sandwiches and refreshments. Zingerman's has fantastic smoothies as well!
GLUE-ON FINGER NAIL IN MY TURKEY & KALE WRAPOn Sunday, March 17, I purchased a turkey wrap with kale and brussel sprout mix from the Plum Market at Detroit Metro Airport prior to boarding an international flight. Half-way through the wrap, I discovered half of a glue-on plastic finger nail in the mix. I thought it might have been an almond shell or something, but plainly a glue on finger nail upon inspection. Clearly, the people making the kale mix or the wraps themselves do not wear gloves. Going for a Hep A test this week now that I'm back in country. Nicely done Plum Market! A catastrophic fail on the part of your company. In sharing the pics locally, many loyal Plum Market fans will avoid the Airport location.
Food is good but price is very high. Also service needs improvement
The zingermans coffee place has good treats. Coffee was rather disappointing. They have an ‘alternative coffee methods’ section on their menu so I tried to order an aeropress which they told me they didn’t have, and then a French press ... same thing, and finally the chemex with the same response. Not a big deal but probably should take it off their menu if they don’t know how to or have the means to offer it. More of a drip coffee spot.
(Former employee) DO NOT EAT HERE ! I REPEAT DO. NOT. EAT HERE!!!! They have dozens of mice were they store food and the chefs, managers, GM NOBODY CARES ... as a stocker I threw expired molded food into trash room and the head chef got mad at us for throwing it away ! His exact words “ I have to feed this to the people “ and dusted the mice poop off the top and took it upstairs for breakfast! DISGUSTING! And that’s just one incident ... it’s something trifling every day WOULD NOT recommend. They are scheming too ! Those prices aren’t always accurate, if they don’t know they’ll put the highest price on it and make you pay whatever they come up with.. they not even worth 1 star ! And don’t get me started on the lousy management, NONE of them are professional not a single one.
If you're looking for something healthy while at the Detroit Airport... Stop at Plum Market.. great food and selection of healthy snacks!
The breakfast here was incredible! Reminds me of the amazing country breakfast in FL & GA!-cheese eggs w/cheese and red bell peppers-roasted potatoes seasoned to the "T's- the best biscuits ever with real butter kneaded into fluffy, billowy dough. Sooo good! x10!
This is a review of the coffee only. The latte I had was terrible. Definitely don't like that bean. To top it off I noticed they are not cleaning the steam wand in-between drinks, so it is caked with dried milk. Cleanliness folks, cleaniness.
Are you kidding me? Must be nice to own a business and charge top dollar and have staff that are completely and totally rude to their customers!! I don’t review stuff online but just had to comment on this facility serving a top product from Ann Arbor by a upper scale grocer!!
This place is disgusting. A lot of the items are expired for weeks and still be on the shelves for us to buy! Their cashiers where sweaty from i guess the heat due to how many layers of uniform they have on, and it’s digusting to be rang up seeing them drip sweat. Theyre also fruit flies all over the pastries on zingerman side, i asked for a sugar crisp muffin and flies where flying everywhere as she was getting the muffin. When i told them never mind i don’t want it they caught an attitude like i was bothering them. This is overpriced food that i wouldn’t recommend from a place like this.
Over charged for biscuits and gravy (with no eggs) $11 - should be $7. When told to correct - the lady made a big deal and acted like it’s my fault. And oh - listen to the other reviews - the rudeness comes with the territory here and of health is an issue - we should probably have this place shut down.
Food was good, however, not much on the sandwiches. $9 for a sandwich, you should get more than a spoonful of chicken salad. When we showed it to the manager on duty, who by the way, was busy on her phone, she asked, “what!” Once we explained there was no substance to the sandwich, she walked away without saying anything, leaving us standing there. Then returned a minute later with another sandwich claiming more meat! Well, there wasn’t, same amount as the first sandwich. My suggestion, use half the bread and train your managers to be more personable.
The breakfast sandwich was nothing like the display case model. Much smaller and pre-made. Not at all worth it, even considering airport prices
Pricey food (and grocery items) but the portions are good for an airport restaurant. All three items I had (broccoli, pork, mac n cheese) were surprisingly salty. I'm all about savory flavors over everything being too sweet, but this was a bit much.
Friendly and clean location. I had 1 everything bagel 3.99$ that was EXTREMELY salted! You can take off the salt with your nails. The salt is the biggest rock among the seeds...
Got a breakfast sandwich that was definitely microwaved from its former state of frozen. Threw it up on the plane, it was a terrible flight. Don't eat here if you want to enjoy your day.
